We got to the Wichita airport early — thank goodness! They completely lost my reservation (Johnnie's was still in the system). Apparently with all the re-booking in Denver on the way out, someone removed me completely, so we had to wait an hour before we could get our boarding passes. Then we sat on the plane another 1 1/2 hrs. due to a mechanical problem — a door wouldn’t shut — so it cut us really close to make our connection in Denver.
Finally, we got a break (or the Lord heard my prayer) and the connecting flight in Denver was exactly the same plane, so all we had to do was get off and re-board. Whew! Arriving in Seattle, we waited over an hour for the shuttle. Finally got home about 4pm. I don’t think we will be doing any holiday flights in future!
Home Sweet Home! We loved our vacation with the family but there is no place like home.
Our only regret is that our New Years Eve party with the Williams in Lyndon was cancelled due to illness, so we missed seeing them and getting some great food prepared by Master Chef Dave. Ah well, we'll aim for a make up party in May this year.

Fun and frolic through the holidays
A shopping day and day at the beauty salon was in order for me and Stephanie.
A family get together for more gifts and loving at Stephanie's and Andy's house
Checking out some local food in Winfield, KS.
We are hanging out at Connie's and Curtis' house, mostly in our jammies, for the next few days. Jenny is taking care of her head cold, and all of us staying warm. Connie fixed some great meals for us and we relaxed and rested from our holiday going. Jenny had lunch with Ronita and some girl talk; and dinner with the Sister Chicks (aka Judy and Debbie) while Johnnie saw his friend Bill. Jenny and Connie shopped at Kirklands and Pier1. Johnnie also got a visit with Andy and Christina and Alex.
Tomorrow is departure day, Lord willing and the snow doesn't linger. We have loved the time with our family and close friends, but we do miss home also. Welcome 2014 and many prayers for all in the New Year.
